Have you ever wondered if there was a common cause of disease? Many doctors, herbalists and nutritionists believe that the explanation may come down to this...pH imbalance.
This information has actually been around since the 1930s and they termed it autotoxication or "Self-poisoning" due to acid accumulation in the body.
We are talking about the body tissues, not just the saliva or stomach. Over acidity, which can become a dangerous condition that weakens all body systems is very common today.
Some conditions caused by over acidity are:
- Cardiovascular damage, reduction of oxygen
- Weight gain, obesity and diabetes
- Bladder and kidney conditions, including kidney stones
- Immune deficiency
- Acceleration of free radical damage, possibly contributing to cancerous mutations
- Premature aging
- Osteoporosis
- Hormone concerns
- Slow digestion and elimination
- Joint pain, aching muscles and lactic acid buildup
- Low energy and chronic fatigue
There is a ton of information on this subject of Acid/Alkaline Imbalance and you need to know that this is very important! There are a whole sling of foods you can eat to help balance your acidity but deciding which foods together can be quite overwhelming. This post is meant to be an introduction to let you know that there is a reason why we sometimes don't feel so good. There is a reason why we are overweight. There is a reason for all that stuff listed above. So you need to do your homework and find out how this applies to you specifically.
It's just that we all need to be aware of this state and make those few changes to help with the reality that we don't eat right.
We Americans eat far too much acid producing animal products like meat, eggs, dairy and acid producing processed foods like flour, sugar and acid producing beverages as coffee and soft drinks. We use too many drugs and artificial sweeteners which are extremely acid forming.
A recent 7 year study conducted at the University of San Francisco on 9000 women showed that those who have chronic acidosis are at greater risk for bone loss than those who have normal pH levels. The scientists who carried out this experiment believe that many of the hip fractures prevalent among middle aged women are connected to high acidity caused by a diet rich in animal foods and low in vegetables. This is because the body borrows calcium from the bones in order to balance pH--American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
I know I could give you the list of veggies, fruits, perfect foods, etc. We then would create recipes to use with those specific foods, make the grocery list, go to the store, get overwhelmed with all the different produce we now need to buy(knowing all the while that fresh produce is not what it used to be; soils are depleted, growers use all kinds of pesticides, another issue right there, what kind of water did they use to grow?) , then pay the amazingly high grocery bill!
Oh my. If I let my mind go...
I know for me, I can try to eat foods that are better than others, but to create the exact pH level I need with those foods? I prefer to just drink my SXinney water all day long and eat more of what I like. It is so much easier and more effective.
I know most people now a days go for what is easier to get the best results for good health. Boy, do I know when I feel better, everything is better!
So, if you would like to know more about the easier way to control the Acid/Alkaline imbalance in your body, get in touch with me to learn more about this stuff. It's really cool!
I will send you a chart of the Alkaline Food List if you email me at tsw227@sbcglobal.net. Just put Acid/Alkaline in the subject line and I can get you more information and share about what works for me.
PS: I happened to come across a video today that I will share with you in my next blog. OK, it is a bit scientific and has cool organism stuff, but that is what gets my interest and this blog is all about what I find that might be helpful to you. Till then.
